WEEK #8

.!.

During each run I designate a landmark far off in the distance —  this helps me focus. This past Saturday was no different. However, this past Saturday as I passed the designated landmark it occurred to me that I had to take a brief moment and just recognize the distance that I had now travelled up my chosen life mountain. I have not yet conquered the mountain, but I’m pretty high up! Woo Hoo!

Life Lesson:  Take a moment to look down your chosen life mountain and smile!

I would bet that each of you have travelled pretty high up your chosen Life mountain too!

Week Number 8: 16 Miles logged. 12 miles during the week and 4 miles Saturday.

Total Running Mileage: 130.2 J

WEEK #4

without comments

As I considered what I would share with all of you in this email, all of the magical moments of my week began appearing in my thoughts.

I’ll share a just few:

1.       My business partner and I high fiving each other in an elevator on Tuesday, ok…we also shared a bear hug J! We had just experienced an incredible meeting with a very prominent talent essential to our project. We had prepared hours before and we simply hit every note….we were in the zone, we were jazzed, we were on fire, we rocked the house! I’m blessed to have a partner that shares the same enthusiasm for the journey of building our business.

2.       Receiving The Champion Trophy and 1st Place Blue Ribbon at Toastmasters for my speech entitled, The Other 10%, on Tuesday. I really felt my energy transfer to my fellow Toastmasters as I delivered my presentation and then to be rewarded…wow! What a feeling!

3.       The enormous smile on my beautiful Melissa’s face and the happiness that filled her spirit when she walked in and was enthusiastically greeted by our new and adorable little dog named…Parker. He just couldn’t get enough of her and she of him. My heart swelled to twice its size!

As my run came to an end and I crossed that final step of mile 5 it occurred to me that all of these moments were the result of one very powerful life tool. Decisions, Choices.

It’s the one and only area in our lives we have full and total control and it can change our lives.

Life Lesson: The power to make decisions/choices is our super human power!

Week Number 4: 17 Miles logged. 12 miles during the week and 5 miles today.
