  1. Yes, there are definitely some scams out there. BUT InkTip is amazing – great, personalized customer service and I’ve had quite a few reads from this service. Also, I had some luck with ScriptPimp.
    Thanks, Marvin, for helping new screenwriters to be wary in their online marketing site selection.

  2. I definitely agree with Lynn that Inktip.com is one of the best on-line services out there. I got my first break through them and the relationships I have established with several of their Industry Pros have proved to be long lasting and very fruitful. Jerrol LeBaron is the real deal and I highly recommend anyone who has a script to post it on their site. Just make sure you have a really strong Logline and Synopsis.

  3. Hello Marvin,this it’s an e-mail I wrote you just in case you haven’t receive it;

    Marvin, how are you?, it’s a surprise seeing this posting in “Who’s buying Who” web site, I’ve been looking and subscribing to all your newsletters: “The 7 Habits of Hollywood’s Most Successful Six (and
    Seven), I like them very much. I’m subscribed with this address: joakoc@cableonda.net

    Let me introduce myself, my name it’s Joaquin Carrasquilla from Panama, I have many talents to exploit in Hollywood, so I would like to be represented by you, I have many talents to exploit, I’m sure we’ll have a nice business relationship, I have a long career in my country, I began as a editorial cartoonist in newspapers (I’m use to have creative ideas every day because of my work), then I became famous because the President sued me because a caricature I’ve publish of him, later in my country became more famous for my celebrities sculptures.

    I also used to produce animated commercials, and then became more know because I produced the first low budget film made in my country called LA NOCHE/THE NIGHT because, was no industry and I wanted to follow the acting and producing career in Hollywood. After years and years of thinking how to make my cross over to Hollywood, I’ve decided to focus more in writing because I thought would be easier for me to enter in the industry this way that try to do it as an actor because I’m based in Panama, and I can’t go to auditions, and producing it’s very complicated too… but once my scripts go to production I would be able to act in them, isn’t it?

    I just finished a script called Touch Me Die, and have 3 more I’m working on, and many concept to develop. You can see query letter down.

    I could also arrange any production in my country easily and smoothly too, because of my connections with the government and in many circles of Panama society.

    In small countries we have to learn to do many things to earn good money, ha, ha!

    I’m in my break out point I just need someone like you to make us make huge money.

    Query – “Touch Me Die”

    “The neurotic son of a retired Colombian gangster wants to restore honor and power, against his father will, and kill a terrorist who killed his sister”

    Genre: Crime/Drama

    Carlos the neurotic son of an retired Colombian mobster moved to Panama wants to restore the honor of his family by conquering power against his father will, and also avenge the death of his sister by a terrorist who plans to blow the Panama Canal.

    I have studied screenwriting for 10 years one of my scripts became the most commercial film made in my country. I’m sure your company has a taste for this genre. This idea came to me because I would interesting to see the now glamorized anti-heroes gangsters like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino or Armand Assante beat the real bad guys of the actual world; the terrorists.

    I would like to submit this screenplay for your consideration and can be contacted as

    listed below.

    Thank you.
